Cisco Unified Mobility helps meet the changing needs of following:
- To trace moving people
- Call forwarding to other network; call must should go out of GW; unified mobility cannot be within IP Network.
- Can only be forwarded to one phone number.
- If call not attended on other network, it can come back to IP network.
- Can be attended on IP Phone + other network phone at same time.
- Unified Mobility is the topic of centralized topology.CUCM Configuration:
Step 1: (Create two "Mobility" soft keys on ON HOOK & CONNECTED mode)- Device -> device settings -> softkey template -> add new -> copy any default key template -> rename -> modify -> Configure Softkey Layout [drop down-right top corner] -> Go- On Hook Mode -> Mobility -> Connected Mode -> Mobility -> save
Step 2: (Create User)- Cisco Unified CM Administration -> User Management -> End User -> Add New ->- User = "ki123", password, PIN, last name etc- Mobility Information -> Check Enable Mobility -> SaveStep 3: (Call Soft key on Phone)
- Device -> Go inside phone -> softkey template -> select newly created key "Mobility"-> save -> reset phone.
Step 4:- Device -> Device Settings -> Remote destination profile -> Add New -> Enter Name "Remote_Destination" -> User ID Select (who needs unified mobility) -> Device Pool select (optional) -> new window will appear -> Add DN (DN on which mobility will be associated) -> Add New DN -> SaveStep 5:- Device -> Remote Destination -> Add New -> "Remote_Destination_Info"- Destination number = 09118890043- Remote Destination Profile -> Select "Remote_Destination"- Check Mobile Phone- Save -> A new window will appear- Association Information -> Line Association -> Check the box -> SaveStep 6:- Call Routing -> Route/Hunt -> Route Pattern -> Add New- Route Pattern 0911889004- Gateway/Route List -> Select GW -> Save
