5 smart phones set to get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update is set to be available on many products. Here are top 5 smart phones set to get ICS update
Ice Cream Sandwich has been used in Google Nexus Plus that was released in the US market. But there are other smart phones waiting their chance to get the latest Android operating system for mobile and tablets. The latest and best Android OS is a blend of the tablet-only Android 3.0 Honeycomb and the smartphone-friendly Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Experts have said that the new Android OS gives Google’s OS an advantage over other major mobile and tablet operating systems. It has a great user interface. The software comes with many new resizable widgets, gestures and others. On the default homepage, the software features five icons, phone book, contacts, apps, texting and web browser. You can access these essential apps on a single click now.
The new Android OS is going to make many great Android smart phones still better.
LG Optimus LTE may be among the first smart phones to get Android 4 or Ice Cream Sandwich. It is a great phone and ICS will improve its performance by several notches. Korean tech giant LG has said that it will deliver Android 4.0 to Optimus LTE very soon. The confirmation appeared on LG’s official Facebook page sometime around November. According to LG, the upgrade details would be made available in December. Hence, as of now nothing has been declared officially about the phone’s American version named LG Nitro HD on AT & T.

Samsung Galaxy S II is already hogging the limelight for being among the best smart phones available in the market. With excellent display, great camera and a processor that gives it a blazing fast speed, Samsung Galaxy SII will become more competitive and may give other smart phones including iPhone 4S tougher competition in the days to come. Recently Samsung has assured its users that Android 4.0 upgrade will be made available to its users pretty soon. The post, however, refrained from confirming a time frame. It has to be kept in mind that the U.S versions of the phone vary significantly from its international counterparts both in terms of software and hardware. Hence, Samsung is yet to speak out on the upgrade developments for those devices.

Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman may be the first Sony smart phone to get a Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 4.0 update. It is a great smart phone and is a huge attraction for music fans. Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman has the refreshed Xperia styling of the new Minis and the Ray. It’s basically the same phone as the new Xperia mini – minus the ultra-compact chassis and the Bravia screen. The Live with Walkman does well to build on the X8 with a 5MP autofocus camera and HD video, a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor and bigger screen.

Sony has officially said that they are set to be delivered ICS on their smart phones. Recently Sony posted on their official blog informing that the Ice Cream Sandwich is all set for a merger with the existing features dotting the Xperia device. Although there is no confirmation on the specific time frame, a wall post on the official Facebook page of the Italian division of Sony Ericsson claimed that March could be the probable time for the merger.
Samsung Nexus S will improve tremendously with the new Android update. Nexus phones are manufactured by an OEM but are the only phones that Google actually plays any part in producing, marketing, or selling. The device may be regarded a pure Android- functioning as the basic flagship gadget until the Galaxy Nexus hit the markets. Hugo Barra the Google executive in an interview with a leading daily claimed that the Nexus’s Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade may take place as soon as the brand new Nexus gadgets make it to the stores.

Huawei Honor is set to be another smart phone that will get Ice Cream Sandwich update pretty early. Running on the latest build of Huawei’s custom software, the handset features a single-core 1.4GHz processor, an 8-megapixel camera, 512MB RAM, and 4GB internal storage. Huawei’s smart phone reportedly comes with three days of battery life. The phone’s 1,900mAh lithium ion battery is one of the higher-capacity batteries found in smartphone. The initial Android 4.0 Version of Huawei was released for the Company’s China specific Honor handset a few days ago. It is now being widely speculated that the software is nothing more than a demo aimed at giving users an idea of the things that await them in Ice Cream Sandwich. As of now the producers have not come out with further details on the release of the final version.
