Download VLC Media Player 1.1.0 RC with WebM VP8 support

VideoLAN has released VLC Media player Release candidate RC v1.1.0 which supports WebM / VP8 video playback. VP8 is a video codec owned by Google which is recently made opensource. WebM provides high quality video compression to be used withHTML 5 and it is expected to change the way of watching videos on Web.
WebM is still under development and not supported natively by most of the browsers and Media players (in stable version). VLC is no doubt one of the most popular Media playerand highly recommended for Windows users has made possible to play WebM / VP8 videos at early development stage.
This is a pre-release and hence not a stable version so, I recommend to get the portable 7z package version instead of a installer and test it to play WebM VP8 videos. In next post, I will tell you How to convert any video to WebM format.
