Windows Tip: How to quickly view the Properties of any file

This tip will show you how to quickly view the properties of any file in Windows – whether it’s a regular file, a shortcut or a system item (like your Recycle Bin etc).

1. Most of you know that you can right-click a file and select Properties to view its properties.

2. Another, faster way to view a files properties is to hold down the Alt key, and double-click the file.

3. As I mentioned earlier, this always works if you want to view the properties of a system file, like the Recycle Bin
